11+ Writing Group Via Zoom

Time: 10.00am-11.30am

This group’s aim is to encourage young writers to set out their personal writing goals and work to achieving them with our help and support. Children in this group have worked on storytelling, poetry, creative non-fiction and screenwriting and are now all working on individual projects. We tailor the sessions to meet their individual needs, but also set writing challenges and prompts, group work and often focus on characterisation, story structure, literary devices and overcoming writing hurdles.

Cost: £4 per session payable in advance half-termly – new dates coming soon

8-11 Writing Group via Zoom

Time: 12pm-1.30pm

This group offers a relaxed approach to writing and storytelling for younger children. They will have fun with poetry, short stories, creating maps and fantasy worlds, scriptwriting and much more. The focus is on fun, magic and adventure and we offer a range of writing challenges, tips and prompts to inspire their ideas.

11 + Writing Group via Zoom

This group runs on Tuesday mornings, 10am-11am in 6 or 7 weekly blocks.

Cost: £3 per session – new dates coming soon

This group aims to encourage young writers to try various writing styles and formats. For instance, we have covered short stories, screenwriting, article writing, poetry and comic book writing. Sometimes the 6-week block will focus on one writing topic for the whole half-term and sometimes the sessions will be different each week. We are always open to suggestions and preferences from young writers and they parents/carers!

This group runs on Wednesday mornings, 10am-11am in 6 0r 7 weekly blocks.
